Who’s left in the Port coaching job race?

WITH favourites Brett Ratten and Rodney Eade pulling out of the Port Adelaide coaching race, it means Port’s attention will turn to senior assistant coaches Ken Hinkley, Alan Richardson and Peter Sumich.
Leon Cameron and Scott Burns have also confirmed that they have withdrawn applications.
Ratten, meanwhile, is weighing up whether he could join Gold Coast as a midfield coach to replace Shane O’Bree. Hinkley is currently the senior assistant to Guy McKenna.
Other contenders that Port may consider could include seasoned veterans Neale Daniher, Gary Ayres and Neil Craig. The AFL is likely to have some type of say in what sort of coach the Power appoint considering it holds some financial power over it. It may want to hire a veteran this time around given it went for the untried Matthew Primus on the last occasion.
