Seagulls bow out of Foxtel Cup

WILLIAMSTOWN has bowed out of the Foxtel Cup after a shock five-point loss to South Adelaide at the MCG today.

In a low-scoring affair, the Seagulls struggled to reduce the gap in the last term as they failed to capitalise on shots at goal.

South Adelaide is now expected to take on Port Melbourne in the next stage of the Foxtel Cup.

Western Bulldogs youngster Daniel Pearce was a late withdrawal from the clash.

Williamstown was last year’s winner of the inaugural Foxtel Cup competition.
