GREATER Western Sydney’s No.1 draft pick Jonathan Patton is still expected to make his AFL debut despite suffering an injury scare at training today.

Patton limped off the training track today but the club confirmed the injury was more of a “cork”.

Patton, who is described by some as the next Wayne Carey, given his strong marking and physique has had an injury-interrupted debut season but said he is raring to go.

He believes the Tigers will be looking to “rough” him up in the clash.

“Of course they are always going to rough up the new kid on the block,” Patton said.

“I’m looking forward to that and looking forward to the challenge and I’m sure we’ll go alright.”
