Is it the end for Fevola and Lovett?
Posted by Brent DiamondDec 19. 2011 6:20 amBRENDAN Fevola spent plenty of energy on the field at the Casey Scorpions in the second half of the VFL season but perhaps exhausted his energy on improving his off-field stance for most of the year.
The fact he has become a more confident person off the field has him driven to continue to push for a career resurrection in the AFL.
But is it all a lost cause for Fev?
Should he just pack for the US now and hope that an NFL career may eventually pop up?
The former Blue and Lion will be 31 next year and 32 in 2013 – if he even gets a slim chance of proving himself. Most in the football world believe he is now done and dusted after this year’s rookie draft.
Same goes with ex Bomber and Saint Andrew Lovett.
It will be almost three seasons since he has played an AFL game next year and that fact may play a more influential part than his off field dramas in determining whether his dream is over.
Lovett, for whatever reason, has gone out of the radar of AFL clubs. Not even his former coach Kevin Sheedy saw any substance in having him at Greater Western Sydney.
Perhaps that was his last chance.
Let us know your thoughts? Are Fevola and Lovett lost to the game forever?
