Israel Folau insists he will remain an AFL player despite a reserves appearance last Saturday as his coach, Kevin Sheedy, remains furious at suggestions the rugby league convert won’t make it.

Hawthorn:
Skipper Luke Hodge could make his return to the Hawks line-up on Sunday against Greater Western Sydney at the MCG according to forward Brendan Whitecross.

Melbourne:
The Demons will consider trading one of its three first round draft picks if the right senior player becomes available as a trade.

North Melbourne:
Jack Ziebell has conceded the Kangaroos have raised expectations after two impressive victories and need to maintain that form to prove they are genuine finals contenders.

Port Adelaide:
The team is set to receive a huge boost ahead of Saturday’s night Showdown against Adelaide, with the expected return of star midfielder Travis Boak.

Richmond:
Richmond midfielder Daniel Jackson has been offered a two-week suspension from the AFL Match Review Panel.

St Kilda:

Sydney Swans:
Fresh from claiming the Brett Kirk Medal in Saturday night’s derby against Greater Western Sydney, Kieren Jack is being compared to iconic former Sydney Swans captain – Paul Kelly.

West Coast:
Injured Eagles forward Mark LeCras hasn’t given up hope of making a shock return during this year’s AFL finals series, and his teammates are urging him to take the punt in a bid for premiership glory.

Western Bulldogs:
Bulldogs defender Bob Murphy hopes to miss just one match after being subbed off with a hamstring injury in Saturday night’s big AFL loss to Essendon.
