North Melbourne:
A nine-day break is an unusual occurrence for North Melbourne; in fact it’s the first time (barring byes) since Round 20 last season the club has enjoyed such a luxury.

Port Adelaide:
Travis Boak is ready to end the now-farcical saga on his football future by starting negotiations for a new contract at Port Adelaide.

Richmond:
Matthew Richardson believes it must surely only be a matter of time before first-year Tiger player Brandon Ellis receives an AFL Rising Star nomination this season.

St Kilda:
Rookie Darren Minchington will undergo hip surgery in the coming week, ruling him out of VFL selection for the remainder of 2012.
