They love hard-at-it midfielders at Brisbane, and Daniel Rich will continue that tradition.

Touted as a possible number one draft pick for much of 2008, the Lions couldn’t believe their luck when Rich was still available at pick seven.

Rich already has two senior premierships to his name with Subiaco in the WAFL.

His key attributes include strength over the ball, courage and a quality left foot kick.
