Stars come out to play for NAB Challenge matches

A RAFT of stars will return for this week’s NAB Challenge matches including Geelong’s Jimmy Bartel and Paul Chapman, Brisbane Lions forward Jonathan Brown and West Coast’s Daniel Kerr.
While the talk will surround Friday night’s blockbuster between Essendon and Collingwood, the array of practice matches will keep AFL pundits informed about what’s making news.
Already we’ve seen a host of injuries in the NAB Challenge matches and we’ve seen some stars making their mark.
Get down to the matches below for your chance to see it all up close and personal.
Interestingly, the AFL didn’t decide to shelve the Gold Coast v Brisbane Lions rivalry until round six. It had been a concern that it might take the gloss of the build up they aim to achieve for that clash.
But they have kept it in place for a Sunday game to allow clubs to stay in their home state – just more than a week out from the start of the season.
