PUNTERS have surged on Collingwood dropping its first game of the season to the previous powerhouse of the competition – Geelong – in round eight at the MCG.

Sportingbet has odds featured on when Collingwood will drop its first game of the season.

The Pies are favourites to drop its first match in round eight but they are at $3.25.

However, Collingwood, last year’s premier, is also rated a strong chance at going through the whole season undefeated. The Pies are at $6 to go through undefeated.

Apart from that, punters rate games against the Western Bulldogs in round six, Sydney in round 14, St Kilda in round 11 and Hawthorn in round 15 as the next biggest challengers to the Pies dropping a match.

Many experts rate Collingwood’s team as one of the greats and is young enough to build a dynasty in the AFL if it can have another dominant season.
