McEvoy could get call-up

UNLUCKY St Kilda ruckman Ben McEvoy is likely to be called upon this week after Michael Gardiner has been ruled out through injury.
Gardiner is likely to miss next Saturday’s grand final replay against Collingwood with what is understood to be a hamstring injury.
Gardiner sat on the bench for the entire second half of Saturday’s thriller as the Saints came from four goals down to draw 10.8 (68) to the Magpies’ 9.14 (68).
McEvoy is the obvious replacement for Gardiner.
He was a shock omission from the Saints line-up for Steve Baker.
It is understood McEvoy was emotional after being told he wasn’t in the team.
This week, it could all turn around for the youngster.
