Houlihan ruled out

CARLTON utility Ryan Houlihan has been ruled out of the season opening clash against Richmond on Thursday night with a calf injury.
Houlihan, one of the veterans on the clubs’ list, strained his calf in a VFL practice match for the Northern Bullants last Friday night while playing against the Coburg Tigers at Visy Park.
Paul Bower is also unlikely to play which will test the Blues defence given that they have already lost Michael Jamison to injury.
Eddie Betts also is carrying a slight injury into the game but is expected to play.
