GIPPSLAND Power midfielder Dyson Heppell has all the makings of a top three draftee in this year’s AFL draft according to Calder Cannons coach Martin Allison.

Allison’s Cannons will take on the Power in this Sunday’s TAC Cup grand final and said he would put a lot of work into shutting down the dominant Power speedster.

“He’s got balance, he’s got poise, he’s got very good decision making skills on both sides of his body. He’s in and under and then next thing you know he’s on the outside giving a handball receive,” Allison said.

Heppell was a joint winner of the Morrish Medal with Sandringham Dragons’ Jackson Sketcher last week.

If Heppell was to make the top three, he would be Gold Coast bound.
