THE Western Bulldogs’ season looked dead and buried after half time during its semi final clash against Sydney at the MCG on Saturday.

Yet they prevailed through sheer desperation and determination to keep their season alive and make it through to another preliminary final against St Kilda this Saturday night.

The Bulldogs won by five points to keep the fairytale finish alive for skipper Brad Johnson. Unfortunately one skipper had to bow out and that was Sydney’s Brett Kirk and coach Paul Roos.

Geelong smashed Fremantle in the other semi final on Friday night by 69 points to advance to the preliminary final against Collingwood at the MCG on Friday night.

What a blockbuster couple of matches we will witness next weekend. Can’t wait for the action to start.
