Is West Coast swingman Adam Hunter on the verge of retiring?

The 2006 premiership player is on the verge of his 150-game milestone but rumours have reached fever pitch that he is about to give the game away.

The 27-year-old has been battling a painful shoulder injury, but yesterday teammate David Wirrpanda laughed off talk of Hunter’s retirement.

A scant number of media reports have suggested he will hang up the boots after his milestone game.

But at the same time statements have been made suggesting Hunter is looking to play out at least this season.
