UPDATE: Club by Club Injury List (3 July 2012)

A BRUTAL weekend for Richmond with a loss to Adelaide, three players set to miss time and fourth (who didn’t even play) set to miss the rest of the season.
Here are the headline injuries from Round 14 last weekend:
Nathan van Berlo (Adelaide) – The Crows skipper was subbed off at the halftime break of the game against Richmond with blurred vision but he is expected to be cleared for the local derby this week.
Michael Jamison (Carlton) – Jamison injured his right shoulder during last Friday’s game against Hawthorn. The club has reported that scans have cleared him of any structural damage and he feels confident that he will be available to play against Collingwood this week.
Luke Power, Dylan Shiel (GWS Giants) - Power was stretchered off the field with suspected broken ribs during the fourth quarter of the Giants loss to cross-town rivals Sydney last Saturday night. The good news is that scans have confirmed that Power has cartilage damage only and is expected to be back in a couple of weeks. Shiel suffered a sprained foot in the same game and looks likely to miss three or four games.
Lance Franklin (Hawthorn) – Buddy tweaked his hamstring against the Blues and left the field in the final quarter. The club is taking a cautious approach to the injury to their superstar.
“I think he’s just tightened up in the hamstring, so we’ll assess that throughout the course of the week,” coach Alistair Clarkson said.
“If he’s hurt it, then we’ll give him a rest for whatever it needs to get it right, but we’ll get it scanned early in the week and see how he goes.”
Tom McDonald (Melbourne) - McDonald was hospitalised after a collision with Brisbane Lions forward Daniel Merrett at the Gabba on Sunday. McDonald came off the field but after coughing up blood was immediately taken to hospital. with reports suggesting that he had a suspected punctured lung. His return is still uncertain.
Steven Morris, Dylan Grimes, Jake King, Tyrone Vickery (Richmond) – Vickery has missed the last two games with a knee injury but the club today confirmed that he is out for the rest of the season because of a persistent shoulder complaint. The club has pulled the plug on him for the rest of the season and he will undergo reconstructive surgery.
King injured his knee in the first half of the game against Adelaide and was subbed at out the main break. Scans have revealed that he has a grade two medial ligament strain and is expected to miss six-to-eight weeks.
Grimes returned to action last week after a hamstring injury but has aggravated it and is expected to miss a month. ”Dylan sustained a hamstring tendon injury in his left leg, which is the opposite to his season-ending one last year and not as significant,” said Richmond’s General Manager of Football, Craig Cameron.
Morris was the recipient of THAT sling tackle by Adelaide forward Taylor Walker. Scan has cleared him of any major damage although he did experience stiffness and pain down the right hand side of his body. Morris will train with the club train on Thursday to hopes to be cleared for action for the game against Melbourne.
Jason Blake, Rhys Stanley (St Kilda) – Stanley left the game against North Melbourne late in the third quarter with a hamstring strain and is likely to miss between 4-6 weeks. Blake was injured shortly after Stanley left the ground, when he landed awkwardly from a marking contest. Scan have confirmed that he has a high level ankle sprain and is likely to miss up to six weeks of action.
Robert Murphy, Dylan Addison (Western Bulldogs) - Murphy experienced hamstring soreness after the thumping by Essendon on Saturday and may not play against Fremantle this week. Addision meanwhile is definitely out for the next four weeks after he broke his jaw in a second quarter collision with Essendon’s Stewart Crameri.
