Conca rubbed out….but still available for Round 1

AFTER a behind the play clash with North Melbourne’s Leigh Adams during the first round of the NAB cup, Richmond’s Reece Conca has been hit with a three or four match ban that will be served during the remainder of the pre-season competition.

A lengthy review by the AFL Match Review Panel “assessed the incident as reckless conduct, high impact and high contact“. As a consequence he has been offered an option of a three week penalty if he accepts the suspension rather than head to the Tribunal.  If he takes the three week option Conca will be available to line up for the Tigers at the start of the regular season.
