CARLTON will be relieved to hear that Pies midfielder Scott Pendlebury will miss tomorrow night’s crunch game once again through injury.
And defender Chris Tarrant and Alan Didak will also miss for Collingwood and will play for its VFL team this weekend.
Pies assistant coach Matthew Lappin said Pendlebury’s absence will stretch to six weeks following a cautious approach.
“Scott won’t play this week, he had some extra investigative work done this morning and the doc’s decided to give him one more week,” Lappin said.
“We’ve taken a precautionary approach with Scott and he’s training over the weekend to make sure he’s right to go next weekend.”
