CLAREMONT premiership coach Simon McPhee is the new coach of Sandringham.

The race was believed to be down to two with St Kilda assistant Paul Hudson, the other in the race.

McPhee will be recruited as a Saints development coach and Zebras coach.

St Kilda will effectively appoint the coach in what will be a similar situation pre-Brett Lovett in that it will be a similar scenario to that of the Andy Lovell era in that he was a development coach at the Saints as well as Sandringham’s coach.

Despite the likelihood of both parties being aligned at least for the next three years,  some Sandy and Saints supporters are at odds over the alignment.

Fair to say this alignment needs working on. Not as strong as the Melbourne/Sandringham alignment. Box Hill and Hawthorn have the best alignment probavly followed by the Williamstown and Bulldogs alignment.
