NORTH MELBOURNE toppled West Coast by 25 points for its first win of the season on Saturday, 17.14 (116) to 13.13 (91).

The Kangaroos won because of Brent Harvey’s and Liam Anthony’s brilliance in the midfield.

Coach Brad Scott praised skipper Harvey after having a shocker last week.

“I said in this room last week that I wasn’t worried about [Brent Harvey] at all because that is what champions do, they bounce back and he is an absolute out-and-out champion and he proved that again today,” he said.

“We’re really pleased and I can’t think of a better captain’s performance than he produced today. He was fantastic.”
