COLLINGWOOD is likely to recall Alan Didak for Saturday night’s blockbuster against Sydney after starring in the VFL on Saturday.
Pies football manager Geoff Walsh said Didak will be strongly considered for a recall after fully recovering from an adductor injury, along with forward Jackson Paine, who kicked five goals in the VFL against Bendigo on Saturday.
Didak performed a blinder of a second term to remind Pies fans what he is capable of.
“I’m sure he will be (in the mix),” Walsh said.
“He played pretty well and pulled up pretty well and he got a fair bit of the footy. My understanding was that he was in the top end of our best players so I think he was pleased with his form. I know the coach was pleased that he got a few touches,” he said.
Walsh said Andrew Krakouer and Brent Macaffer recovered well from Saturday’s return hit-out from ACL injuries against Bendigo and are set for another VFL hit-out next week.
He said both players could return before the finals but “It just depends on their form from here on end.”
