Adelaide:
The Crows have confirmed Nathan van Berlo will captain them for a second season after they announced their 2012 five-man leadership group on Thursday.

Brisbane:
He is driving around Brisbane in a second-hand BMW but Lions rookie Billy Longer could be on his way to becoming a Rolls-Royce ruckman.

Carlton:
The Blues will this year move to extend captain Chris Judd’s contract, which is not due to expire until the end of next year.

Collingwood:
This Sunday marks the 120th anniversary of Australia’s most famous sporting club. Andrew Sutherland of  TheRoar.com.au takes a non-Magpies look at their history.

Essendon:
Bombers big man Paddy Ryder has held initial talks on a new contract to firm up his future as a key player for the club.

Fremantle:
Fremantle ruckman Aaron Sandilands and West Coast defender Adam Selwood have been appointed as development coaches for the State under-16s team as a host of players from both clubs begin focusing on potential coaching careers.

Geelong:

Hawthorn:

St Kilda:

Eagles forward Josh Kennedy has backed the omission of an intraclub match in the club’s pre-season schedule, saying the side’s rigorous simulations have the Eagles primed for next week’s NAB Cup.

The Brian Lake story has taken another positive turn, with confirmation he will play in the Western Bulldogs’ intra-club match at Whitten Oval on Saturday.
