CARLTON midfielder Andrew Carrazzo says the Blues are better placed physically than what they were this time last year.

“If anything we’re in a stronger position than Round 1 last year. Fev came in carrying an injury and didn’t really play well. So we’re in a better position physically than this time last year,” Carrazzo said today.

It will be a different line-up particularly the forward line minus Brendan Fevola.

“It doesn’t feel strange. For guys who played with him for a long time, maybe coming through the pre-season and having to change a structure up a little bit. But from a playing point of view, you just kick to the best option that’s there. It’s as simple as that,” Carrazzo said.

“It might be a work in progress at the start, but I wouldn’t say we’re tinkering with it. We’ve got to get our chemistry up and plenty of sides have shown out there you can win with a spread of goalkickers and that’s what we’re aiming to do.”
